In our 'Bet of the Week' series, Tipico Sportsbook will highlight some of the most notable wagers of the previous week.
The NCAA Tournament turned into some March Gladness for a Tipico Sportsbook customer from New Jersey -- a 15-leg parlay eventually cashed out at $6,094.09.
This user -- who placed the $10 wager on March 16 -- didn't let the bet slip ride the entire way, instead cashing out during the Houston-Northern Kentucky game. If the customer had gone the distance and had been successful the rest of the way, the payout would have been $10,228.60.
But with the 15-leg odds at +102186, playing conservative might have been the way to go. The parlay included 1st-half moneylines and 1st-half spreads in all 15 legs.
Tipico's tournament contest has been extremely popular with customers. There has been a 579.2 percent increase in total number of bets from 2022 to this year, while handle has gone up 140 percent as players jump into the contest and vie for the prizes -- which includes bets on us for an entire year for the overall winner (see leaderboard here.)

"We've seen an increase in interest and betting around March Madness this year," said Brian Becker, Vice President of Marketing at Tipico. "With the creation of our contest, we've sometimes seen smaller bet slips but see around 3x more betting with focus and growth in Ohio. Tipico was really excited this year to deliver more betting markets around player props and SGP to enhance the customer experience."
