Insider’s Guide to predictions and hot takes for a sport or a game. This edition is from the Tipico Sportsbook Team to share their predictions.

Getting Ready for a Wild and Exciting NFL Season

Every new season brings hope for fans everywhere, as teams surprise and disappoint. Football is not an easy sport, it’s played by huge men and the rules change slightly year to year, but what remains intact is a physicality and strategy that separates the best teams. The past offseason saw so much movement in players, high profile quarterbacks and receivers moved teams, creating consistent breaking news and drama that was atypical in the last few years.

These changes create opportunities for new teams. New stars will shine as this is a game built for younger, more durable players. These changes are betting opportunities, and in our organization, the Sportsbook team remains the experts around picking games and setting odds. So with that in mind, we tapped into them to help us predict this NFL season.

The Inside Scoop: NFL Preview

Week 1 Takeaways:

Andre Zammit, VP of Tipico Sportsbook: San Francisco showed positive signs last season, but fell just short in the playoffs despite a strong season. Trey Lance only has one season under his belt, but there are reasons to be optimistic. After trade rumors, Deebo Samuel is back in red and gold. 49ers bring It home.

Sunny Gupta, Sportsbook Manager: The Bills have the MVP favorite and a sold QB in Josh Allen. After losing the most exciting playoff game ever played, the Bills will be motivated to bring home the Lombardi trophy.Look out for Gabriel Davis to have a breakout season with Josh Allen. Bills Mafia will be in rare form as Josh Allen leads Buffalo to a ring. Bills.

Vincent Pepe, Quantitative Trading Analyst: You can’t forget about Buffalo’s #1 ranked defense alongside their electric office. Josh Allen has solid weapons to throw too and a solid running back duo of Devin Singletary and Zach Moss. This is Buffalo’s year. Bills.

Ryan Taylor, Sportsbook Analyst: Let’s not fall asleep on Kansas City now, who features Patrick Mahomes and added Juju Smith-Schuster to replace Tyreek Hill. Travis Kelce is still the best tight end in the league, and Arrowhead Stadium remains an extremely tough place to win. Mahomes breaks out in MVP form and leads KC to another Superbowl in a tough division. Chiefs.

Brian Gilmartin: Sportsbook Analyst: Its finally time for the great city of Buffalo to get their SB. Josh Allen revenge tour coming this February. No more commentary necessary. Bills.

We all love long shot bets (+400 odds)

Which season long futures pick is cashing?

Andre: The Texans have been awful in recent years. They were the 3rd lowest scoring team in 2021, have the 5th hardest schedule & an inexperienced QB that will find it difficult to consistently score.- I am predicting they will be the Lowest Scoring Team +550.

Sunny: It is time for a breakout year for CMC. Similar to Adrian Peterson after (first) tearing his ACL, I expect CMC to come back extremely motivated and return to star form. He highlights Carolina’s offense and will be a huge focal point if he can remain healthy, Christian McCaffrey will be the Comeback Player of the Year +700.

Vincent: The Vikings offense is stacked with Justin Jefferson, Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen and KJ Osborne. If Patrick Peterson can elevate his game back to his AZ days and the defense can stay healthy. Kirk Cousins has everything in place to make a deep playoff run. Minnesota Vikings Superbowl +4000.

Ryan: He was the MVP front-runner last season at the midway point, so this is a lot of value. Kyler Murray to win MVP +2000.

Brian: The Chargers filled their hole on defense with the addition of Khalil Mack. Justin Herbert will have an MVP this year that keeps the Lombardi in LA. Los Angeles Chargers Superbowl +1300.

Division winners look the same?

3 Teams to become division champions.

Andre: 49ers for the reasons stated above and easier schedule as compared to defending champs Rams (2nd toughest), Colts always have a very strong defense, but now have a more consistent, exciting offense with Ryan at QB and the beast Taylor at RB. Finally, the Bills are in an improved division but it won’t matter. 49ers, Colts & Bills.

Sunny: Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers, and Matt Stafford have proved that they can carry their team to high win totals and I like the Rams to win the division this year after acquiring Allen Robinson from the Bears. Bills, Packers & Rams.

Vincent: Not much else needs to be said about the Bills and Josh Allen, the competition in that division is just not up to par. Herbie Fully Loaded can catapult the Chargers to a division title but it is still dependent on whether their defense can stop anybody. Will stand by my longshot pick of the Vikings. Vikings, Chargers, Bills.

Ryan: The Bills are locks to win a weak division, the Bengals are the defending AFC champions, and the Colts will capitalize on Tennessee's injuries and be much improved with Matt Ryan. Bills, Bengals, Colts.

These sleepers will create havoc

Andre: They are +280 to make the playoffs. Yes, Big Ben has finally decided to hang his cleats, but if anyone can turn a mediocre team into division contenders its Mike Tomlin. He is yet to have a season with less than 8 wins (15 seasons). Steelers.

Sunny: It is tough to call the team that made it to the NFC Championship Game a "surprise" but the 49ers win total is set at 9.5. The 49ers have a top five coach in the NFL and have had some of the worst injury luck of the past few seasons. With a full offseason for development, look for Trey Lance to take a major step this year. 49ers.

Vincent: Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season. If Pickett gets an opportunity in his first season with the rest of their roster makeup, the Steelers could easily find themselves in a Wild Card spot. They have got someone to play for this year, so everyone knows they're hungry. Steelers.

Ryan: Maybe they find something in new QB Baker Mayfield and depending on their health, they have a great running game and decent defense. They will be in the hunt by the season's end looking for a 5, 6, or 7 seed

Brian: You can scream "bias" all you want, you cannot ignore the offseason additions by Howie Roseman. The quickest rebuild in the NFL which still resulted in a playoff appearance. AJ Brown, Kyzir White, James Bradberry, Nakobe Dean, Jordan Davis, and Gardner Johnson fill the gaps the Eagles were missing last year. And Jalen Hurts does not need to be the best. If he can manage games, he'll find himself playing in the NFC championship game. Eagles.
