Week 6 Takeaways
Andre Zammit, VP of Tipico Sportsbook: The Colts ride their way to another win! Thanks to Matt Ryan who threw 42 completions vs the Jags. That’s tied for 7th in all time in a single game! (The highest is 45, which Goff had in 2019 and Bledsoe in 1994). The Bengals are back, thanks to their two stars who look like they have taken a time machine to last years levels. It was only a matter of timebefore they started clicking again.
Sunny Gupta, Sportsbook Manager: After a big win in the battle of the generational quarterbacks, Josh Allen is now +135 favorite to win MVP. . Buffalo’s win against Kansas City could be the difference in deciding who gets home field advantage. The Eagles soared past Dallas and continued their reign of dominance, advancing to 6-0! Philadelphia’s odds to win the NFC Conference have moved to +200. . The Dolphins season has made a turn for the worse, after losing Tua to injury. Minnesota capitalized on Miami’s QB issues, Taking down the Dolphins 24-16. As for dancing, Mike Gesicki delivered potentially the worst “Griddy” ever recorded. Minnesota is now 5-1 and are –300 to win the NFC North. A couple of upsets shocked everyone as Steelers and Jets both won this week, beating a pair of aging quarterback stars.
Ryan Taylor, Sportsbook Analyst: The Cardinals fell to 2-4 after another bad showing on offense. Kyler Murray admitted that this is the most he has struggled since his rookie year. Deandre Hopkins will make his return this Thursday, hoping to help relieve these struggles and stay in the NFC playoff race. New York is not sleeping, but continues to get slept on. The Packers lost back back games against New York teams, and for another weekend, both New York teams win! Both the Jets and Giants currently sit second in their division. Could we see playoff football at MetLife Stadium? After a brutal start for AFC south, the division is back to normal as both the Titans and Colts are now over .500. We are locked in for a division title battle.
Brian Gilmartin, Sportsbook Analyst: What’s Aaron Rodgers kryptonite? Teams from New York! The Packers dropped two straight games against the Jets and the Giants. They have been struggling all season and people are wondering if Green Bay will be able to pull themselves together. Another MVP who hopped on the struggle bus is Tom Brady. the Bucs were upset against rookie QB Kenny Pickett and the Steelers. PIttsburgh were a ten-point underdog heading into the game.Josh Allen won the battle against rival quarterback Patrick Mahomes. After throwing the go-ahead touchdown pass with under two minutes left in the game, the Bills defense came up with a crucial interception to seal the deal against the Chiefs.
