I’m taking Travis Kelce to win MVP. This team isn’t like the Chiefs of years past, where they rely on Mahomes to put up a big stat line. His highest passing output this postseason was just 262 yards against the Dolphins. Kelce, who has caught TDs in back-to-back weeks has several narratives working in his favor, not to mention a 20% fan vote where the Swifties can you help out.

I think it’ll be a close game, and while the 49ers probably do have the better team, Kansas City has been the better team in the playoffs — largely due to their still-underrated defense. But mostly, it just feels like it’d be a bit silly to back a team led by Brock Purdy — who, don’t get me wrong, had a great season — to beat a team led by Patrick Mahomes, who’s already put his name amongst the all-time greats. That’s the tipping point for me, and I’m taking KC on the moneyline.

Jesse Goldberg — Sportsbook Performance Marketing Manager

I know it’s not the sharp side, and I know everyone is saying “I’m done betting against Mahomes.” But I’m done betting against Mahomes. Give me KC +2.5.

Josh Miller — Sportsbook Promotions Manager

It’s going to be more of a shootout than a defensive battle. The winning team will need to score 30+. Both teams will open hot on offense and then both defenses will dig in by the 2nd quarter. 49ers will lean on CMC and Deebo to start the game, while Mahomes will look for quick efficient passes to keep KC in 3rd-and-short scenarios. Pacheco will be key to KC’s success. Utlimately, SF will win with a go-ahead score late in the game (SF moneyline).

Ethan Schwartz — Senior CRM Manager

Go big or go home. I like Nick Bosa +7000 to win MVP. If the Chiefs are going to lose it’s because Bosa causes havoc with a few sacks and forced fumbles. And if Joe Thuney doesn’t play, I like Bosa’s chances to get to Mahomes even more.

Alex Valdes – Web Content Manager

Patrick Mahomes is a decent bet to put KC on the scoreboard first (1st TD scorer +2000) and Deebo Samuel loves the spotlight — a good pick at over 16.5 rushing yards (-110). Ultimately, the Niners have enough playmakers to eke out the win (take the spread at -2) and give Kyle Shanahan his first championship.
