In our Bet of the Week series, Tipico Sportsbook highlights one of the most notable wagers of the previous week.

A Tipico customer from New Jersey had a profitable weekend with a multi-sport parlay, but it didn’t come without several nail-biting moments. The result? A nice payout of more than two grand.

On Saturday, June 10, this bettor wagered $30 on a 7-leg parlay at +7708 odds on a play including the Champions League final, the Stanley Cup Final and several Major League Baseball games. All bets were on the moneyline.

Several narrow margins went the bettor’s way: Manchester City defeated Inter Milan 1-0 for the Champions League title, the Vegas Golden Knights edged the Florida Panthers 3-2, the San Diego Padres beat the Colorado Rockies 3-2 and — most notably — the Miami Marlins needed five runs in the top of the ninth inning to get past the Chicago White Sox.

All the excitement ended up with a payout of $2,312.52!

“This proved to be a profitable weekend for this bettor as they clearly know their way around some big-time events,” said Tipico Sportsbook Analyst Brian Gilmartin.

This is how it works: For every leg of a bet, you get one point. For each straight bet, you get one point. For a 3-Leg parlay, you get three points. A 4-leg parlay gets you four points. And so on…

Qualifying wagers must be $10 or more on MLB games or events with odds longer than -200 (equivalent to decimal odds higher than 1.5) or parlay wagers with combined odds longer than -200 (equivalent to decimal odds higher than 1.5).

Each month the top 100 bettors will win bets on us for an entire year. There will be five tiers, and the upper tier (‘Grand Slam’) — consisting of the top 5 — will receive $5,000 total in bets on us, spread out at $417 per month for 12 months.

The amount of bets on us for the monthly top 100 will equal $100,000 total.
